Don't Eat This is an exploration of how plastic waste can be integrated into our lives in fun and joyous ways. In her travels, Brett Gui Xin has gathered soft plastics from America, Mexico, Britain, Costa Rica, Italy and other far flung corners of the globe, building a vibrant language of reuse along the way. She turns bodega bags into thread, contact lens cases into beads, space blankets into sculptures. Why throw away, when you can play?
